The spring 1991 collection was lighter and more colorful then the typical black-centric collection from Azzedine. It was a lighter more girl-next-door version of the renowned and often overt sexuality that runs through every collection. Alaia body suits should hold a place in every girls closet when it comes to building your vintage collection. There is nothing else quite like them. They are so sexy and he cuts them perfectly. This particular one is made of a sleek knit done in a dusty, deep pink with deeper pink colored dots worked into and throughout the fabric. It is scooped low at the front neck, cut high on the leg and sexy as hell. I especially love the crossed straps and off shoulder "sleeve". A very collectible and early example of his work. This particular type of knit that Azzadine used during this time period ages in a way that leave bits of a shine and faint "lines" through the knit - I have never seen a piece that was actually worn once or twice to not have this happen. These pieces have a lot of stretch and are similar in nature to the bandage dresses. Slips on with snaps at inner bottom. Tagged a vintage Alaia XS
